Best football rivalries according to Fuzzy’s

November 30, 2015 by Jonathan Armstead

football

At Fuzzy’s Taco Shop, we love nothing more than a good football rivalry, enjoyed over a fabulous Fuzzy’s spread, of course. Football and Fuzzy’s literally go hand in hand—food in one hand, and the remote in the other (or one of our beeritas).

As game day approaches, you may be wondering about the perfect matchup between your rivalry of choice and your favorite Fuzzy’s fan food. Well, look no further sports lover; we’ve got your spreads covered.

Alabama vs. LSU = Tacos and Burritos

This is one of the most heated rivalries in the country and one of the biggest rivalries in the SEC. You’ve got the monster defense of LSU (burritos) up against the more agile yet smothering attack of Alabama (tacos). Much like their Fuzzy’s counterparts, these two teams often get the best of one another—but no one will deny how awesome they are.

Army vs. Navy = Soft Tacos and Crunchy Tacos

They’re virtually the same team. Of course, many people have more of an allegiance to one over the other, but they’re both fighting the good fight in the big picture. No losers in this matchup.

Michigan vs. Ohio St. = Breakfast Tacos and Regular Tacos

Again, saying one is better is considered blasphemy in some parts of the country, and only Michigan or Ohio St. fans would actually do it. Though these two teams may despise one another, they need each other. One cannot exist without the other (though their fans might not agree).

Arizona vs. Arizona St. = Enchiladas and Nachos

These rivals are muy caliente, as are their Fuzzy’s peers. Whenever you have schools from the same state going up against each other, you know the sparks are going to fly.

UCLA vs. USC = Grilled Veggie Tacos and Grilled Fish Tacos

Fish tacos supposedly originated in the great state of California, and many veggie menu items have a California theme of their own. UCLA and USC have been battling it out on the West Coast for longer than most of us have been alive. Our Fuzzy’s menu items are reflective of this proud Golden State tradition.

Florida vs. Florida St. = Chips and Queso

Queso is cheese that’s been melted. What else melts things? The sun. The Sunshine State. Boom. There’s really nothing like chips and queso to get this southeastern rivalry going.

Oklahoma vs. Texas = Special Ground Beef Tacos and Shredded Brisket Tacos

The Red River Rivalry is one of the biggest games of the year. Are you a Boomer Sooner, or do you bleed burnt orange? Grab a ground beef taco for OU or a shredded brisket taco for UT to show your true colors.

We know we missed tons of other rivalries, but you catch our gist. Visit the nearest Fuzzy’s Taco Shop next game day and let our team members coach you for the win. Or get down with some Fuzzy’s takeout or catering to make sure your “team” is satisfied, win or lose.
