Net·flix·ing
/’nettflickseeng/
- The act of watching an entire season of a show in one sitting.
- A totally valid excuse for avoiding social obligations.
“I don’t think I’ll be able to make it to your wedding. Season 4 of House of Cards comes out that Friday, so I’ll be Netflixing. Sorry, brother.”
Netflix has changed the way we live our lives. What was once deemed inexcusable and unacceptable anti-social behavior is now a celebrated 21st-century norm. Don’t get us wrong, we at Fuzzy’s Taco Shop love Netflix as much as the next American. If we didn’t have such awesome jobs, we’d probably be at home Netflixing more often, but alas, the tacos aren’t going to make themselves.
Now Fuzzy’s Taco Shop is generally a happenin’ place, social, lively and the opposite of quiet. It’s not an ideal place to get your Netflix on. But just because you might not want to take in your favorite shows at your local Fuzzy’s Taco Shop doesn’t mean Fuzzy’s and Netflix can’t co-exist. Here are five reasons why Fuzzy’s and Netflix actually go quite well together.
Get it to go, eat it at home
Plan ahead. Don’t be three and a half episodes into your binge only to realize your only source of sustenance is tap water and a stale bagel sans cream cheese. Instead, call ahead to your local Fuzzy’s, place your order, pick it up and get home just in time to start a week-long marathon of Lost.
Cater that marathon party
If you’re feeling a bit more social, you might be inclined to have a group of people over to watch Netflix. Since we’ve established your kitchen only has tap water and stale bagels, it’s in your best interest to get your guests what they want (i.e., tacos, chips and guacamole, etc.). Get the watching party catered by Fuzzy’s and put all your energy into not moving from your favorite spot on the couch for 12 hours.
Healthy salads = less couch-potato guilt
If you’re feeling a bit lazy, lethargic and useless after lying on the couch all day Netflixing, well, you kind of should. But you can turn that pitiful frown upside-down by ordering one of our healthy salads. There’s only so much binging a body can take, TV or otherwise.
Netflix all day with the proper meals
Get your Netflixing started early in the morning over some Fuzzy’s breakfast tacos. Pause at lunchtime for a jumbo burrito. Finish the day off with more tacos for dinner. We’ll be with you every step of the way.
Stuff your face during Netflix breaks
If you’ve ever Netflixed all day, you’ve noticed that every two or three episodes, they’ll pause and make sure you’re still watching/alive. Take advantage of that break and snack on some Fuzzy’s to energize you for the next watching spree. Remember, it’s called a viewing marathon, not a sprint, for a reason.
Netflix wisely and please, no spoilers.
