What is your position at Fuzzy’s Taco Shop?
I am a managing partner for one of the franchisees in Arvada, Colorado.
How did you get started with Fuzzy’s?
I started as the kitchen manager. I came over with my boss from an old job. He looked into Fuzzy’s and decided it was a good idea. He asked me if I wanted to come with him, as there would be more opportunities for me there.
What’s your favorite item on the menu now?
Probably the grilled shrimp soft taco.
Do you do anything special at your location?
Well, since we are in Arvada and Colorado is all about green chilis, we do a recipe here that is pork green chili. It’s something we do because of our location, but I have shared the recipe with other Fuzzy’s locations and anyone who wants to can use it.
Do you have any regulars?
Oh yeah, we get a lot of regulars here. I’m always out talking to different people, and there’s a lot of people who will come in if not every day, then every week.
Do you have any partnerships with any local organizations or charities?
We partner up with local schools in Arvada and hold fundraisers for them. We’re also talking with the food bank right now. We like to be out in the community helping out.
What is your favorite Fuzzy’s term?
Eat me.
Do people order off the menu at your location?
Yes, all the time. Fish nachos are out of the ordinary because people wouldn’t really expect them (fish and nachos) together.
What’s something about Fuzzy’s that you want people to know?
We don’t all have the same bar styles or margaritas. We can kind of make up our own, and that’s one of my favorite things about Fuzzy’s. We don’t have a set bar menu, and everyone can do different stuff. We have a lot of creative drinks here, including the Shocker. It’s a margarita with a Shock Top beer in it, and the margarita is made with mango.
It’s also really fun coming in here. We are like family, and it’s nice to be treated like family, especially if you’re a guest.
