What is your position at Fuzzy’s Taco Shop?

I’m a district manager for four Texas locations in Lewisville, Farmers Branch, Carrollton and Frisco.

How long have you been with Fuzzy’s?

I’ve been working with Fuzzy’s for four and a half years.

How did you get started with Fuzzy’s?

My father and uncle were investors in Fuzzy’s and got me involved with the company.

What is your favorite Fuzzy’s menu item?

The pork tacos. Really, anything with pork in it.

Are there any specials at your stores?

We have $1.50 tacos on Wednesdays in our Carrollton location. In Frisco, we have margarita specials on certain days, when you can get $2 margaritas all day. We also have Fuzzymosas, which are like mimosas and have a little bottle of champagne sticking out. Those are amazing.

Do you have any regulars?

Yes, we have a several regulars at every location. We have one gentleman who comes in and orders a pork burrito and an 8-ounce side of habanero sauce every time.

Are there any local charities you team up with?

We work with Operation Kindness in Carrollton and Frisco, as well as any local charity that wants to host a night where we give 10 percent of the proceeds to their cause. We do spirit nights for local high schools and “fifth quarter” after high school football games, during which 10 percent of sales goes back to the school.

What is your favorite Fuzzy’s Taco Shop phrase?

Party in the front, business in the back. It’s a funny take on the “business in the front, party in the back” saying.

What is the craziest order you’ve seen at your locations?

One time I saw someone order bacon, egg and cheese nachos for breakfast. It came with the regular items nachos came with (pico, feta and garlic sauce). That was interesting.

Do you have any idea where the name Fuzzy’s came from?

I’ve heard a lot of different things. But my theory is that it was the nickname for the original owner’s grandma, and that’s who they named it after. But I don’t really know.

Is there anything else you would like people to know?

Our menu is a lot bigger than tacos. Many people think that’s all we have because of our name, but there’s plenty more and it’s all really good.
