So spring break is here, and it’s time to get serious about bikini season. You may have been hitting the gym in January, but once those New Year’s resolutions faded, your old sedentary ways set in. It’s okay; we at Fuzzy’s Taco Shop aren’t judging. One of our top-selling menu items is called the “Jumbo Burrito,” so go figure.
That being said, we’re sympathetic to your spring break mindset and are here to help. Just because you’re counting calories, doesn’t mean you can’t still enjoy Fuzzy’s to the fullest.
Order corn tortillas instead of flour.
Corn tortillas are your best friend when it comes to getting in shape. Plus, corn tortillas were used in the original tacos, so not only are you being health-conscious, you’re also being historically accurate.
Try one of our big salads.
Our burritos, quesadillas and nachos will be here when you get back from spring break. For now, try one of our big salads. It’s the most fun you’ll have being healthy, guaranteed. Eating one is the equivalent of riding around on a Buzz Bike.
Hold the cheese; hold the chips.
You can further cut calories by just saying no to cheese and chips on your salad. Sad, but definitely healthier (remember, it’s just temporary). Our dressing already comes on the side, but instead of Ranch, smother your salad in salsa instead. Win-win.
Request no cheese on your tacos.
We know, we know. Cheese is just, so good. But it’s not the best for your beach bod. Just put the queso on hold for now and focus instead on the other amazing ingredients in our tacos: cilantro, garlic sauce, tomatoes, shredded chicken etc.
Or just stop caring.
Look, you’re perfect how you are. And not just in a Christina Aguilera “you are beautiful in every single way” kind of way. Spring break doesn’t have to be like it is on MTV; in fact, it’s nothing like that. Just eat how you want, within reason, and don’t worry about it.
