March 20 signals the first day of spring. Not that we hate winter, with its excuses galore to snuggle up in your nearest Fuzzy’s and keep warm by the fiery tacos, burritos and salsa. But spring is wonderful, isn’t it?
For most of us, the mercury starts to rise, the snow begins to melt and the jeans and boots miraculously turn into shorts and sandals. Unless you live up north and you’re still stuck in winter mode. (We’ll get to you in a minute.)
For most of us, spring means it’s time to embark on an awesome journey of fun in the big, hot sun. We take a pause in our busy lives to acknowledge Mother Nature. It’s called “spring break,” and it’s almost here.
The question on everyone’s lips for the next month is, “What are you doing for spring break?” So you best be ready with a great response. Assuming you’re not skydiving in New Zealand or island hopping in Fiji, we think we’ve got the next best thing lined up for you:
ROAD TRIP!
Pack your bags, slather on the sunscreen and make this spring break all about Fuzzy’s Taco Shop. There are plenty of Fuzzy’s just a hop, skip and a jump away from some of America’s greatest spring break destinations. Places like…
Corpus Christi
Just shy of three hours from South Padre Island, Texas.
Austin
Three and a half hours from Galveston, Texas. (Austin is awesome, too.)
Las Vegas
Because Las Vegas.
Denver
For you snow bunnies who choose to use spring break as your last hurrah on the slopes, Denver is only one to two hours away from many of Colorado’s top ski resorts.
These spots are just to start. There are hundreds of great spring break destinations that are worthy of your week away from normal. If you’re really feeling ambitious, consider plotting a course on your map (do people still have actual physical maps?) to hit up several Fuzzy’s during the course of the week.
And to you northerners still de-icing your windshields every morning, you could use a respite from the harsh winter. Make this the year for a southern spring break and come join your southern compatriots for a bowl of chips and queso.
Whatever you end up doing, we hope you include Fuzzy’s in your plans, and we wish you a very merry spring break!
