Schooooool’s
OUT
for
SUMMER!
That’s right. It’s that wild and wacky time of year when, unlike us embittered adults, the kids are out for summer break. (Oh, to be young again!)
Because you’re the excellent and all-knowing parent that you are, you know the importance of keeping your tikes happy, enthused and, most importantly, busy. (Routine = good. Chaos = bad.)
At Fuzzy’s Taco Shop, we’re all about staying active and having a good time. Therefore, we feel obliged to give you some helpful tips on summer activities for your offspring.
CAMPS!
One of the best parts of summer is the camps—day camps, overnight camps, camps that last for a week straight. It’s a chance for kids to make new friends, see new things and try new activities such as horseback riding, zip lining, kayaking and more. Camps are where the party lives for kids of all ages.
Water balloon fights
Everyone is a foe with a water balloon in hand. Challenge the neighbors to an all-out, old-fashioned, no-holds-barred water balloon fight and get your kids locked, loaded and ready to throw. No surrender. No mercy.
Create your own slip-and-slide
Slip-and-slides will never not be fun. You can buy one at the store with fancy contraptions and whatnot, or you can just get a bunch of tarp, some soap (not the kind that burns your eyes; we know from experience) and a garden hose. You’ll be slipping and sliding all summer long.
Get your game on
It almost feels wrong to be inside during the summer, but kids today seem to enjoy their high-tech gadgets, which are better kept indoors. As long as it’s not 24/7, let your kids play some video games to keep the peace. Maybe make them a deal: For every hour outside, they get 30 minutes of Xbox Live. Or, have them play the Taco Slash game in our app to win free stuff for your next Fuzzy’s trip.
Read
If you’re looking for an activity they can do indoors or out, give them a book to dive into. A lot of schools have summer reading lists anyway. Regardless, it’s a great way to keep the mind engaged and active during summer break. Find a genre your kid is interested in and put those titles in their hands.
Plan a field day with the neighbors
Check out the museum. Go to the zoo. Take a picnic to the park or botanical garden (with Fuzzy’s to go). Turn a day trip into a fond memory by just exploring the city around you.
Slumber party
Of course, another rite of passage for all kids is the sleepover. Get Fuzzy’s to go or to cater your slumber party and instantly become the cool parent. Just make sure they get some sleep.
Bring them to Fuzzy’s once a week
Your kids are going to be famished after all these fun summer activities. You’ll need to keep their tummies full and their minds happy with frequent trips to Fuzzy’s. Plus, it’s just another excuse for you to get more Fuzzy’s!
