Valentine’s Day is the holiday designated for true love, when you spend time with the one you cherish most in this world.
For most, that special someone is another person, but for others, not so much. You can’t help where Cupid shoots his arrow.
Love is in the air this week, and there are the select few for whom it smells like garlic sauce and cilantro. When it comes down to it, your real significant other is…tacos.
Even though the love of your life may not have a pulse, that doesn’t mean you have sit on the sidelines as other couples have all the V-Day fun. Here’s how to have the perfect Valentine’s Day with your tacos.
Take them to the park.
Sometimes it’s the little things in life that mean the most. Take your tacos on a walk in the park and take in the scenery as you fall deeper into love’s grasp. Ignore the passersby who may scoff at your unusual connection. They’re just jealous and, well, maybe a little concerned.
Enjoy a candlelight dinner.
Set the table; set the mood; set your tacos out for a night you won’t soon forget. Open a bottle of wine; put on some Kenny G; and bask in the glow of the candlelight as you chow down.
Eat in bed.
It’s true that Valentine’s Day can be a bit clichéd. This V-Day, instead of making reservations at a fancy restaurant, why not get your tacos to go and eat them from the comfort of your own bed? While others are dropping hundreds of dollars at some swanky joint, you’ll be in your sweatpants with your tacos, binge-watching Netflix.
Do something out of the ordinary.
We all get so wrapped up in our day-to-day routine; it’s important to do something you don’t normally do. Maybe try some new sauces or meats on your taco, or switch to corn if you’re usually more of a flour person. Or what about chocolate on your tacos?! Well, that might be too weird, but you get the gist.
Have fun, lovebirds!
