Happy National Tortilla Chip Day, everyone!
Isn’t it exciting? Even though you’ve had this day circled on your calendar all year, we wanted to remind you of the significance this day holds. When one thinks Mexican food, there’s not one conversation that doesn’t make reference to these crispy golden triangles. They’re the real deal.
Why are they the real deal? Because they can be supplemented, complemented and implemented into any Fuzzy’s Taco Shop dish. Here are a few different ways you can use tortilla chips in your next meal.
Eat them plain with Fuzzy’s Dust
Let’s start with the basics. Before we get into the awesomeness that is the tortilla chip, it’s important to remember that it’s still just a chip at the end of the day. Pay homage to this fact by eating your tortilla chips plain, in their most raw form. Tortilla chips mixed with our Fuzzy’s Dust is really all you ever need.
Dip ’em
BUT since this is America, you might as well add some other elements here. Take those chips for a dip, dip, dip, right into some of Fuzzy’s salsa, queso or guacamole. Heck, you can even have all three. Order this dip trio for your table and be a lunchtime hero.
Soup it up
If you’re astute enough to order the Drunken Pig or Tortilla Soup at Fuzzy’s Taco Shop, tortilla chips are already there, soaking in the broth, awaiting your spoon. The soup is like a hot tub for the tortilla chips, who’re just wanting to get their Jacuzzi on. Come on in, the water’s warm!
Nachos
There are Fuzzy’s nachos and then there’s everything else in the world. Tortilla chips act as the supporting infrastructure to the cheese, veggies, garlic sauce and your choice of meat layered on top. Without tortilla chips, it would just be, well, we guess that would make it a salad, which would still be good. BUT tortilla chips make them nachos technically, and that’s pretty special.
Sprinkle over your salad
Hey we were just talking about salads! Almost like upside-down-nachos, tortilla chips are a tasty adornment to your Fuzzy’s salad. Break them into little pieces and sprinkle that crunchy goodness on top of whatever salad comes your way. Not only will it add some texture, you’ll look like you really know what you’re doing.
